Trinus Waldorf School, Guatemala

The arts rich curriculum of Waldorf in the Grade 1 classroom at Trinus Waldorf School in Guatemala!

New chalk drawings every day highlight main points in oral stories shared to teach main lesson blocks in all subject matter. Students create their own text books page by page with teacher guidance. I had the honour of filling in for the regular Grade 1 teacher for most of the month of October.  Waldorf is dedicated to the head, the heart and the hands: a wholistic education. Here students learn in both English and Spanish. At the sister school at Lake Atitlan the local Mayan language is also used and part of daily instruction.
